I had an IUD put in a week ago and I get light cramps and spotting...is that normal?

Yeah it's normal it's kind of your body's way of fighting it off.It's like the same thing as mi carraige's your body is not used to a foreign object being in there .Your body will soon adapt and you will be fine.
