Firebird engine swap or rebuild?

I have a 99 base firebird. It has a ram air hood and t/a spoiler, and I love the car. well today the motor blew, so I was wondering, should I get the motor rebuilt, or buy a new 3800 motor, or maybe even swap in an ls1? also what would the pricing be for each of these options. I know that the ls1 would cost more, and that there is a lot more that I would need to do, but it would be sweeeeeeet.
