How can people be such hypocrites in terms of gender stereotypes?

I think when we as people are upset we vent by saying everyone is the same male or female but we don't often mean it as strong as it may sound. Some do it to hurt others some are just blow hot air in anger. It's more important not to let it bother you by taking it personal.
